Louis Vuitton is celebrating 130 years of its Monogram with a collectible bottle for Louis Vuitton Imagination. The pastel, archival-pattern edition is new; the citrus and black tea fragrance inside is the same one Jacques Cavallier Belletrud created in 2021.
What Louis Vuitton confirmed for the Monogram's 130th year
Georges Vuitton drew the Monogram in 1896 as a tribute to his father, Louis. Town & Country reported in December 2025 that the house would mark the anniversary throughout 2026, including a Monogram Origine collection that reinterprets the original pattern in a woven canvas inspired by an archival client register.
The perfumes followed. BelleNews reported on 4 January 2026 that three signature fragrances, Imagination, Attrape-Rêves and eLVes, were released in collectible bottles, together with two travel cases. Imagination carries the archival version of the LV motif in muted, modern tones. French site Luxsure added on 18 March 2026 that the collection's pastel shades extend to the 100 ml bottles and to travel cases in Rose Ruban and Bleu Courrier.
Same juice, new dress: what it means for buyers
ScentAdvice describes the edition as a special bottle containing Imagination from 2021, so nothing about the scent has changed. That makes the decision simple. If you already own Imagination, the anniversary bottle is a collector's purchase. If you have never worn it, the bottle is not the question; the scent is, and that is easy to settle with a small decant before you buy a full bottle.
A beautiful bottle is a reason to look twice, never a reason to skip smelling what is inside.
One practical detail: the edition is sold by Louis Vuitton directly, on its website and in selected stores, according to the brand's listings summarised by BelleNews.
Louis Vuitton Imagination notes, from citrus to black tea
Wanted magazine described Imagination at launch in August 2021 as an ode to Ambrox, composed by Jacques Cavallier Belletrud in his Grasse atelier. Its list included Calabrian bergamot, Sicilian cedar, Tunisian neroli, Nigerian ginger, Ceylon cinnamon, Chinese black tea, guaiac wood and incense, with ambroxan as the backbone. On skin the citrus is loud for the first half hour; the black tea, its real signature, only becomes clear once the opening has burned off, and the cinnamon keeps the base from feeling cold.

Its nearest relative in our catalog
Its closest relative in our catalog is Louis Vuitton L'Immensité, by the same perfumer and also built on ambroxan, but brighter and more aquatic. In the Louis Vuitton Imagination vs L'Immensité question, Imagination is the smoother, more polished choice. Both sit in our Louis Vuitton perfume samples and in the wider men's sample collection.
